2009 IAM Scholarship Application Is Now On-going

The IAM Scholarship Program is currently accepting applications for 2009 academic year. Eligible applicants are seniors in high school and IAM members. Applicants with outstanding learning ability and versatility for college work as well as active participation in local community are given some preferences.  Of course, the opinion of applicants’ counselors and teachers also matter for the scholarship approval.

Interested applicants for the 2009 competition may get their Application Packets by visiting this link or by sending a self-addressed LABEL (not a self-addressed envelope) at IAM Scholarship Program, Room 117, 900 Machinists Place, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772-2687.

For AIM member-scholar, the AIM Scholarship Program awards $2,000 per academic year and for children of AIM members, scholarship awards are$1,000 per academic year.  All awards are granted and renewed each year (maximum of 4 years) until a Bachelor’s degree or a two-year vocational/technical program is attained by the scholars.

All application packets must be postmarked on or before February 27, 2009. Late application forms will no longer considered. So be sure that you complete all the requirements as early as possible.
