ACI Graduate Scholarship Program 2009-2010

American Concrete Institute (ACI) is one of the leading educational society that provides forum, seminars and offers scholarship for concrete related technologies.  The mission is to share, develop and utilize concrete to its fullest potential.  For ACI Graduate Scholarship Program 2009-2010, $3,000(U.S.) awards became available due to the support of;

ACI-W. R. Grace Scholarship – the longest running industry that sponsored educational scholarship;

V. Mohan Malhotra Scholarship – established to acknowledge Dr. Malhotra for  organizing international conferences and workshops for concrete technology;

Kumar Mehta Scholarship- initiated by Dr. Mehta to recognize students pursuit for concrete development;

Katharine and Bryant Mather Scholarship – founded in honor for Katherine and Bryant Mather for their exception contribution in concrete technology;

ACI Bertold E. Weinberg Scholarship – in recognition for Mr. Weinberg, the ACI Scholarship Council Chairman; and

ACI Scholarship – thru the generous contribution of its member.

Membership is free. For application, send your essay, resume and your e-mail package to The applicant should have a bachelor’s degree and should be a full time first or second year student of graduate study in the United States or in Canada  during the entire scholarship year. The following should be submitted;

Completed 2009-2010 typed application form. Handwritten will not be accepted.
One page resume which should be limited to one page only.
Essay with a one page limit, 500 words or less including name and balance of scheduled classes of academic year.
Two completed online reference forms which must be in English language. Remember that mailed, e-mailed or letter of recommendation will not be accepted.
Transcript of Records

Name should be on every piece of material submitted. Failure of compliance to above stated directions could cause withdrawal of application. For this year, applications will be accepted from May 1, 2009 through October 30, 2009.
