AMA Foundation Minority Scholars Award For Medical Students

The AMA Foundation Minority Scholars Award is offered to minority students who are pursuing degrees in Medicine. Every year, the AMA Foundation through the Minority Affairs Consortium and support from the Pfizer Medical Humanities Initiative awards Ten Minority Scholarship amounting to $10,000 each.

The scholars are selected through nomination wherein applicants must be current freshmen or sophomore college students and permanent residents or citizens of the U.S. And of course, since this is a minority scholarship, eligible nominees are only those with minority background such as African American/Black, American Indian, Native Hawaiian, Alaska Native and Hispanic/Latino.
