Babies “R” Us Awarded College Fund For The First Baby Of 2007
This news caught my attention because it was my first time to hear a contest for babies who will be born at New Year’s Eve. Winners of the said contest were already announced and at the end, there are actually three babies who were selected as the first American baby born in the year 2007.
The babies were awarded a $25,000 savings bond for their college education. The babies were really lucky because they had already a fund/scholarship to start out their college education.
The contest was called “First Baby of the Year Sweepstakes” and was sponsored by Babies “R” Us. It was participated by expectant New Year’s mothers who registered for the said contest.
Though this year’s First Baby of the Year Sweepstakes got a slight controversy, this showed the scholarship opportunities are abundant and widely available not only for upcoming college students but also for younger generation.
