Best Buy Scholarship

Best Buy, the North America’s number-one specialty retailer of consumer electronics, personal computers, entertainment software and appliances is also giving away scholarships through their Best Buy Children’s Foundation to recognize the students who give time to their communities, excel in their school and participate in extra curricular activities. The Best Buy Scholarships are administered by Scholarship America.

Best Buy will award over 1,700 scholarships this year. Two students who live within 50 miles of each Best Buy store will be awarded $1500 each as scholarship money. Best Buy will also give 100 scholarships in the amount of $1500 each for online shoppers and students living in remote areas outside of the 50 mile radius. There will likewise another 16 national scholar winners that will be awarded a $10,000 scholarship to the institution of their choice.

This scholarship is not based on financial needs because winners will be selected according to the overall achievements of the applicant. Applications are done online.
