2009 Scholarship Program For Students & Residents Of NY, NJ, CT, or PA

That’s right! If you are a permanent resident of f NY, NJ, CT, or PA or studying in a high school or college in any of the said states, you may be qualified to apply for the Scholarship Program of New York Women in Communications Inc. Foundation.

This scholarship program is open to all eligible high school seniors who will graduate this 2009 as well as to currently enrolled college students. The scholars will be selected based on their academic excellence, need, and involvement in the field of communications.

Likewise, applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.2 and should pursue a degree in communications like advertising, broadcasting, communications, English, film, journalism, marketing, new media, or public relations.

All applications must be postmarked by Friday, January 30, 2009. So be sure that the application form and all the requirements will be submitted before that date.  To download the application form, please proceed to this link.

Scholarship Contest For Broadcast And Journalism Students in Carolina

The Radio & television News Directors Association of the Carolinas  announced their college scholarship contest for this year. The contest is open to all junior and senior college students from Carolinas who are taking up a major course in broadcasting or electronic journalism.

One winner from South Carolina and another winner from North Carolina will receive $1000 each as their scholarship prizes. Joining this contest is easy because you need to do is to write at least one page essay telling how this scholarship can contribute towards your future career goal.

Simply send this through postal mail along with your name, address, and school;, transcript of records and other pertinent information about your educational achievements as well as two recommendation letters from your references. The deadline for submission of your entry is on October 5, 2007.
