The Second Amendment to the Constitution Essay Contest is another scholarship contest that is available in two categories, Senior (grades 10-12) and Junior (grades nine and below). This contest is sponsored by The NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund and is about celebrating the Second Amendment as an integral part of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
The participating students are asked to submit an essay on this topic: “The Second Amendment to the Constitution: Why it is important to our nation.” The length of essay must be around 1,000 words; it should be original and free from grammatical errors. The essay must be typed in double spaced and includes the following information: student’s name, age, address, telephone number, school and grade level. Student must likewise attach on the essay a statement from their teacher or parent that the essay is their original work.
The essay along with other information should be submitted by mail at NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund,
Office of General Counsel, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030 on or before is December 1, 2009. Winners will be published in InSights and one of the Official Journals of NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund.
Each first prize winner in the above categories will win a $1,000 in U.S. Savings Bonds for their college education. Aside from the $1,000 in U.S. Savings Bonds, the sponsors will also choose winners for the second prizes amounting to $600 in Savings Bonds; winners for the third prizes amounting to $200 in Savings Bonds; and winners for the honorable mention who will receive $100 in Savings Bonds.

This scholarship program is open to all currently enrolled students within the United States regardless of their race or nationality; so it means, whether you are still in elementary, middle school, high school or currently a college student, US citizen or not, you are eligible to join in this contest as long as you are studying in the United States. However, this contest can not be joined by those who already graduated from college (those who are taking up masters or doctors degree).
The Versa Tables Scholarship Contest simply requires its participants to create an essay in approximately 500 words or less by telling about what you do or have done to make a difference in your community, your family, your school, or in the world.
There is no purchase requirement or any fee to be collected for those who want to participate. Just go to the Versa Tables Scholarship Contest Page, fill out the Online Form and attach your essay (must be saved as a Microsoft Word or PDF document). Just remember that only one entry per student is allowed and essay must not exceed 500 words.
This scholarship contest is open for entries until January 15, 2009 and winners will be announced on March 1, 2009.

I just read here about the
New England Direct Marketing Association Foundation. NEDMA has a scholarship program called Direct Marketing Scholarship that award financial assistance amounting to $3,000 which can be used to pay for college tuition.
The said scholarship opportunity is open for marketing, advertising or communications students who can complete their sophomore or junior year by June of their scholarship application year. The applicants must be interested to pursue a career in direct marketing.
As the recipient of Direct Marketing Scholarship, the scholar is also entitled to attend the Nationally Sponsored Seminar on the basics of direct marketing, to have a paid internship during summer as well as a privilege to attend the NEDMA Conference this coming May 2008.
