Siemens U.S. Scholarship Programs

Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, one of the biggest and progressive clinical diagnostics companies in the world is offering numerous scholarships for students who are interested to pursue a career as laboratory professional.

For students who are under Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science programs, Siemens offer 34 scholarships that are valued at $2,500 each. This scholarship is administered by the American Society for Clinical Pathology on behalf of Siemens.

Siemens also has 50 scholarship programs offering for those who are taking Clinical Laboratory Technician/Medical Laboratory Technician programs. This scholarship is administered by the Coordinating Council on the Clinical Laboratory Workforce. Scholars under this program receive $ 1,000 each.

And if you are the children, grandchildren, or siblings of clinical laboratory professionals and currently pursuing a degree in clinical laboratory science, you may apply to one of the five Siemens Legacy Scholarship which is valued at $5000 each.

Applicants for these scholarship programs must be currently enrolled as a senior student in an NAACLS accredited program and must have at least 2.8 GPA. It is also important that applicants are citizens or permanent resident of United States.

Scholarship for Disadvantaged Students

Do you belong in a family with heavy financial burden but still wanted to pursue a college degree in any health related degree program? If you answered yes, then you may be qualified to apply in Scholarship for Disadvantaged Students that are given by Bureau of Health Professions under the US Department of Health and Human Services.

This scholarship is given to undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing degrees in medicine, dentistry, optometry, pharmacy, nursing, public health, veterinary medicine, chiropractic and other allied health programs such as medical laboratory technology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, marriage and family therapy, clinical psychology and even programs in physician assistants training.

The Scholarship for Disadvantaged Students provides tuition and allowances for reasonable educational expenses and living expenses. This scholarship preferred those US citizen students with heavy financial need and disadvantaged backgrounds who are currently enrolled in the above stated programs. To apply for this scholarship, students must see the financial aid office of the school where they are enrolled or planning to apply.
