2009 Scholarship Program For Students & Residents Of NY, NJ, CT, or PA

That’s right! If you are a permanent resident of f NY, NJ, CT, or PA or studying in a high school or college in any of the said states, you may be qualified to apply for the Scholarship Program of New York Women in Communications Inc. Foundation.

This scholarship program is open to all eligible high school seniors who will graduate this 2009 as well as to currently enrolled college students. The scholars will be selected based on their academic excellence, need, and involvement in the field of communications.

Likewise, applicants must have a GPA of at least 3.2 and should pursue a degree in communications like advertising, broadcasting, communications, English, film, journalism, marketing, new media, or public relations.

All applications must be postmarked by Friday, January 30, 2009. So be sure that the application form and all the requirements will be submitted before that date.  To download the application form, please proceed to this link.

The 2008 Direct Marketing Scholarship

I just read here about the
New England Direct Marketing Association Foundation
. NEDMA has a scholarship program called Direct Marketing Scholarship that award financial assistance amounting to $3,000 which can be used to pay for college tuition.

The said scholarship opportunity is open for marketing, advertising or communications students who can complete their sophomore or junior year by June of their scholarship application year. The applicants must be interested to pursue a career in direct marketing.

As the recipient of Direct Marketing Scholarship, the scholar is also entitled to attend the Nationally Sponsored Seminar on the basics of direct marketing, to have a paid internship during summer as well as a privilege to attend the NEDMA Conference this coming May 2008.
