The National Federation of the Blind is offering a scholarship program to help deserving blind students in their college studying. The 2009 Scholarship Program provides both financial assistance and an excellent opportunity for high level networking with other active blind persons in various professions and occupations.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must be confirmed blind in both eyes and should be willing to pursue a full-time, post-secondary course of study in a degree program at any educational institution in United States. Applicants must also be a citizen of the United States, the District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
Scholars are likewise required to join in all NFB national conventions and other scheduled scholarship program activities. Interested applicants may apply online through this link.
