Daughters of Penelope Scholarship
The Daughters of Penelope Foundation has a special scholarship program that awards $1000 or $1500 renewable scholarship. This is an undergraduate scholarship that aims to provide financial assistance for college to women of Greek descent.
This program is open to women who have been members of the Daughters of Penelope or the Maids of Athena for at least 2 years, or whose parents or grandparents have been members of the Daughters of Penelope or the Order of Ahepa for at least 2 years.
To be eligible to apply for Daughters of Penelope, the applicants must have taken the SAT or ACT (or Canadian, Greek, or Cypriot equivalent) and should submit a 200 to 500-word English essay about her educational and vocational goals. The selection of scholars is based on academic achievement.
For Daughters of Penelope District 2 (State of Florida and the Bahamas), the completed application for and the requirements must be postmarked on May 25 every year. The scholarship application form can be downloaded here.
