Students who are taking up engineering programs (bachelor’s degree or associate program) may apply to the so-called Engineering Technology Scholarships sponsored by American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers. This scholarship program awards a one $3,000 Bachelor Engineering Technology Scholarship and two $3,000 Associate Engineering Technology Scholarships.
Qualified students are those with cumulative Grade Point Average of at least a 3.0 or those with highest class ranking of no less than the top 30% evidenced by an official transcript of grades or certification from their school administrator.
And since this scholarship is sponsored by ASHRAE, it is very necessary that the course of study of the applicant is adapted or in-line with the preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession and is accredited by any of the following: Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), Partnership for Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Accreditation (PAHRA) or an agency outside the USA that has a signed Memorandum of Understanding with ABET or is a signatory of The Dublin or Sydney Accord.
