First In My Family Scholarship

The First in my Family Scholarship is program developed by Sally Mae Fund together with the Hispanic College Fund as its partner. This is a unique scholarship being offered to Hispanic-American students who are the first person in their family to attend college.

And since this is a Sallie Mae Fund program, this is offered based on the financial needs of the students, thus applicants must demonstrate their financial need by submitting their proof of family income as one of the required documents. The application for the First in my Family Scholarship becomes available beginning the January 15, 2007. The total fund allotted to this program is $500,000 wherein each student can be awarded from $500 to $5000.
