IAM Scholarship

IAM or the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers are likewise offering IAM Scholarship Competition for the children of IAM members in the United States and Canada.

The IAM scholarship competition is awarded to the candidate who will best represent the spirit of volunteerism and strong sense of service to their community which was the hallmark of Roman Mayfield, the trade unionist hero of IAM.

Each winner of IAM scholarship competition is being awarded a total of $4000 scholarship money. The total scholarship prize amount are equally divided into four years for college students and two years for students taking up vocational or technical courses.

For the 2007 scholarship application, children of AIM members who are high school seniors may apply until February 23, 2007. Application forms may be downloaded here.
