The Internet Scholarship Program by US Bank awards around 30 scholarships to high school seniors entering college during the fall semester. Chosen scholars receive $1,000 each to help them fund their college education.
Eligible high school senior applicants are those who are planning or already enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited two- or four-year college or university by September 2009. Applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States.
Applying for Internet Scholarship Program is relatively easy because it is web-based and does not have strict GPA requirement. Scholars will be chosen randomly without regard to race, color, creed, religion, age, gender, disability or national origin. Upon selection, the US Bank will verify winner submissions and notify each scholarship recipient through mail or phone around April 2009.
The scholarship award checks are payable jointly to the student and the school and may be received on August 2009. Interested high school seniors may apply now. Deadline of applications is on February 28, 2009.
