L-A: It’s Happening Here 2009 Scholarship Contest

If you are a high school junior or senior student from any school in Lewiston and Auburn, then you are lucky because you may join the L-A: It’s Happening Here 2009 Scholarship Contest! This contest will give away $1,500 scholarship as first prize, 1,000 scholarship as second prize and an  Apple iPhone for the third prize winner. Home-schooled students from the said place can also participate in this contest.

To join, students must submit a written essay describing what they consider to be the “most happening” thing in Lewiston-Auburn. The essay, together with the completed scholarship contest entry form must be submitted through postal mail at CONTEST, P.O. Box 1188, Lewiston, ME, 04243-1188 on or before May 15.

Students who can submit their entry early may receive a free Happening Here t-shirt and may also have an opportunity to have their work featured on both the WGME-13 and It’s Happening Here! websites. The contest winners may claim their prizes as soon as they have a proof that they are already registered to attend an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university. The proof can be in the form of a letter from the Dean of Admissions, Financial Aid office, or other proof acceptable at the discretion of LAEGC.
