The Marathon Oil Corporation Scholarship Program is open to sophomore students who are taking up engineering degree or Geology, Geophysics, Accounting, Marketing, Energy Management or Petroleum Land Management or Transportation & Logistics. Applicants must be US Citizens who come from Hispanic American, African American , Asian Pacific Islander American, or American Indian or Alaskan Native heritage.
This scholarship offered up to $10,000 per year or a maximum of $20,000 scholarship money for scholars who will be selected for two academic years. Aside from the scholarship money, the Marathon Oil Corporation Scholarship Program also provides its scholars an opportunity to be included in a paid 8-10 week summer internship at various Marathon Oil Corporation locations. Scholars will also be paired with a Marathon Oil Corporation employee who will serve as their professional mentor.
The student applicant must have at least 3.00 cumulative grade point average and he or she must apply for federal financial aid. For this year, the deadline of application is on November 1, 2008. For more details on how to apply, you can download the scholarship catalog.
