Marsha’s Angels Scholarship
Marsha’s Angels is a scholarship fund honoring the memory of Marsha Yarnell, a labor and delivery nurse in Wichita, Kansas.for 22 long years. The Marsha’s Angels Scholarship is intended for students who are entering as college freshmen in nursing program. It awards scholarship money from $1600 to $1800 per scholar.
To be eligible to apply for Marsha’s Angels Scholarship, the students should be residing in Sedgwick County, Kansas or one of the surrounding counties. They may however use the scholarship to attend in an accredited nursing program anywhere in the United States. The program is likewise open for students living elsewhere in the United States but will attend an accredited nursing program in Sedgwick County, Kansas or one of the surrounding counties or at St. Luke’s College in Kansas City, Missouri.
Scholars of Marsha’s Angel Scholarship Fund will be eligible to receive the scholarship for their second year if they maintained the qualifications of the scholarship program. For students who are enrolled for the fall semester of 2007, they must submit their application form and the requirements before June 30, 2007. But students are welcome to submit application as soon as they have been notified by their school of acceptance into their nursing program.
