No Presidential Freedom Scholarship Program For 2007
I have read that there is no Presidential Freedom Scholarship Program for 2007 because the scholarship does not receive a funding from the federal budget. This scholarship that aims to uphold student service and civic engagement is funded in part by the Corporation for National and Community Service, a federal agency that recognizes high school students for outstanding leadership in community service.
But although the scholarship program will not continue this year, the agency will keep probable applicants. And to all students who are previously selected as Presidential Freedom scholars but did not able enroll and use the scholarship, they have up to 7 years from the date the scholarship is awarded to claim their funds.
