Ronald McDonald Scholarships
Ronald McDonald scholarships are composed of several kinds of scholarship program through the local chapters of Ronald McDonald House Charities or RMHC. These scholarships are offered to eligible high school students who have limited access to educational and career opportunities.
Students are assessed through their demonstrated academic achievement, financial need and community involvement. Applicants must be legal US residents and should reside within the geographic boundaries of the participating local chapter of RMHC that offers scholarships.
RMHC awards a minimum of $1000 scholarship per eligible student which is directly paid to the educational institution of the recipient. The RMHC offers several scholarships such as RMHC/Asia intended for student with at least one parent of Asian-Pacific heritage; RMHC/Future Achievers for students with at least one parent of African American or Black Caribbean heritage; RMHC/Hacer for students with Hispanic heritage; and RMHC/Scholars that is open for all students regardless of race, gender, disability or national origin.

However, you still need to submit your cerrtified high school transcript, personal statement, letter of recommendation and IRS Form 1040 through mail. Deadline for submission of the completed form and the requirements is on February 15, 2007.
