Scholarship For GLBT Students

The Point Foundation is an institution that grants scholarship aids for students who are GLBT or gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender; and would like to pursue their college education. The Point Foundation has been supporting the outstanding GLBT students since 2001 and this year, the foundation is allocating more than $500,000 scholarship money.

As Point Scholars, the students are given financial assistance to help cover their expenses in tuition, books, supplies, transportation and room or board.  Scholarship award may vary from $2,000 — $12,000 per student. And as a Point Scholars, you will receive more than just financial support because TPF ensures that their scholars are equipped with skills and exceptional leadership capabilities through the support the foundation and its network of professionals.

However, being a Point Scholar entails a serious commitment and responsibility because the as a scholar, you need to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA and give back to the LGBT community through completion of an individual service project.
