Scholarship For Latino Students In California

If you have Central American or other Latino ethnicity; and currently residing and studying in California, you may want to apply for the Salvadoran American Leadership and Education Fund or SALEF scholarship program. They have this “Fulfilling Our Dreams” Fund that aims to provide financial assistance of around $500 to $2500 to eligible Latino high school, undergraduate and graduate school students.

The applicants need to have at least 2.5 GPA to be considered for this scholarship. Furthermore, they must demonstrate community involvement and financial need. Applicants may apply to one of the several scholarship programs under the SALEF such as the Health Career Scholarship awards for Central American students who are pursuing health related degrees;  Two Nineteen Scholarship for AB 540 students attending a Community College in California; Four-Year Scholarship for those students  with 3.0 GPA; and Father Rutilio Grande Scholarship for student whoa re studying religious studies, culture, environment and social justice.
