Scholarship Opportunities For Aeronautics-Related Studies
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Foundation has a scholarship program that aims to financially assist the students taking up science or engineering programs that are related to AIAA’s aerospace mission. The AIAA provides 30 scholarships in the amount of $2000 – $2,500 college sophomores, juniors, and seniors each year.
The AIAA scholarship is open to students of any nationality who are full-time students in any accredited university within the United States. The criteria for scholarship selection are based on the academic performance, career goals and recommendations of the applicant. There is also a required minimum GPA which is set at 3.3.
Should the scholars maintain the eligibility requirement of the program, they still need to reapply each year for their scholarship to be renewed. The applicants can apply online and must submit all the required documents and recommendations by January 31 of each year. For more information about the AIAA scholarship program, please click here.
