The CRCF or Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, a nonprofit, community corporation created by and for the people of Chautauqua County offers several scholarship programs for students who are based in Chautauqua County.
CRCF also has Special Scholarship Programs that are intended to address specific or special talent or interest of students living in the Chautauqua Region . The applicants for these scholarship programs should be a graduate or graduating student from any Chautauqua, Cattaraugus or Allegany County High School in New York.
Applying for these scholarships is easy because students need to complete just one Online Application and they will be eligible to apply for all available scholarships in Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. The applicant will also be requested to submit a short essay of no more than 200 words. According to the CRCF website, applicants are strongly urged not to write this online; so they should take some time to write it well offline first, then copy and paste it after the essay is completed. This will give the applicant a chance to present themselves in the best possible way.
The required documents are the completed application form, Transcript of Records or Information Release Form (for graduating high school students) and Financial Aid Release Form. The deadline for scholarship application form online submission is on June 1, 2009 while all supporting materials must be mailed on or before June 30, 2009.
