Scholarship Options For Students Pursuing Culinary, Hospitality or Tourism
The North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association has several scholarships programs that are intended for students who would like to pursue a career in culinary arts, hospitality or tourism. They have an Education Foundation that awards annual scholarship for qualified students that are residing in North Carolina.
For senior high school students, the NC Education Foundation annually awards 10 $750 scholarships for two-year degree programs that can be renewed yearly for $1000. Students who will pursue a four year program will receive one time $1500 scholarship award. To qualify, you must be a resident in North Carolina and should be pursuing culinary arts, hospitality management, or tourism.
They also have similar scholarship program for currently enrolled culinary arts, tourism or hospitality undergraduate and graduate students. The award is $1500 which is not renewable but students may reapply again each year that they meet all the eligibility requirements.
Students may apply for these scholarships by fall of each year with deadlines to apply falling in mid-January. For more information, please click here.
