The 2010 Thomas Lemons Scholarship

The Thomas M. Lemons Scholarship was created by the  IALD Education Trust through the sponsorship of  the lighting design firm Available Light.

This scholarship aims to help outstanding Junior, Senior or graduate-level student who is a US citizen and is committed to studying and practicing in the field of architectural lighting design in the United States.

The Thomas M. Lemons Scholarship awards $4,000 per year and the scholars may renew this scholarship for another year provided he or she met the required eligibility standards. . This scholarship can be used by the scholar  towards his or her education related expenses such as tuition, books and lodging.

Applicants should submit the completely filled application form; copy of Official University Transcript; two letters of recommendation; and a resume. Aside from these, the applicant must also submit his or her personal statement about experience with lighting; why he or she want to study lighting, or why the applicant should receive this scholarship;  and up to 10 images of his or her work.
