The Dallas Independent School District Scholarship

The Dallas Independent School District has a scholarship program for undergraduate freshmen who reside within Texas. This scholarship program is administered by the United Negro College Fund and is open to all high school seniors from Dallas Independent School District.

The program awards up to $2500 scholarship money and to qualify for this scholarship, the student need to write a 250 to 500 word essay that will answer ” Why it is important to attend a Historically Black College or University?” Applicants also need to meet the 2.5 GPA requirement. Deadline for the application for this scholarship is on May 4, 2007.
