United States Steel Foundation Endowed Scholarships

The United States Steel Foundation, a nonprofit membership corporation of United States Steel Corporation has given more than $200 million scholarship grants to various colleges and universities across the United States.  These scholarship grants are not only meant to assist the sons and daughters of the employees of the corporation but also to give back to the community by helping out the qualified students in pursuing their college degrees.

The endowed scholarship programs of the foundation are being administered by the respective colleges. These scholarships are awarded to students based on their academic performances, leadership qualities, and financial needs. These scholarships are usually given to freshmen students and may be renewed yearly by the scholars as long as they meet the requirements set by their respective college.

Majority of the United States Steel Foundation scholarships are awarded to direct dependents of United States Steel Foundation employees who are pursuing degree in such fields as engineering, finance, business and natural sciences.
