US Steel Foundation Awarded $1M Scholarship Grant To CMU

The United Steel Foundation has awarded five-year $1 million scholarship grant to the Carnegie Mellon University. The scholarship grant will be used to help out engineering and business students of CMU who have financial need but exhibited academic excellence and leadership qualities.

The Carnegie Mellon University and the foundation have been helping each other in building and promoting goodwill among their industries. The foundation already employed hundreds of graduates from the university while officials of US Steel Foundation are leading the university’s Board of Trustees.

Aside from the Carnegie Mellon University, the U.S. Steel Foundation also awards grants to other higher education institutions that have strong programs in engineering, science and business. The foundation likewise provides grants to various nonprofit organizations whose programs run within the major U.S. Steel locations in United States.
