Voice of Democracy Scholarship Contest
The Voice of Democracy (VOD) Scholarship Program is an audio-essay scholarship contest that is open to all high school students who are currently in grades 9-12. This scholarship contest awards a whopping $30,000 scholarship for the lucky first-place winner which is directly paid to the scholar’s university or technical school.
Aside from the $30,000 as first prize, the Voice of Democracy (VOD) Scholarship Program also awards other national scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $16,000. For this year, the theme of Voice of Democracy scholarship contest is “”Does America Still Have Heroes?”
Students may join in this contest by submitting the required entry form via mail together with their essay and recording to a local VFW Post. Remember that the audio essay should be between three to five minutes long and must reflect patriotism based on the stated theme.
