Scholarship Advice

Starting November 1, 2006 up to January 12, 2007, interested students can apply online for the next school year scholarships from Wal-Mart Foundation and the Walton Family Foundation. These two foundations in union with Scholarship Program Administrators are giving out several scholarships that can be applied by majority of students.

Among the scholarships that can be applied by graduating students are the Sam Walton Community Scholarship which can be applied by graduating high school students who is not a Wal-Mart Associate or immediate relative of a Wal-Mart Associate; Higher Reach Scholarship which is open for all Associates of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.; Wal-Mart Associate Scholarship which is open for associates that are employed full-time or part-time for at least 6 months as of April 25, 2007; and Walton Family Foundation Scholarship which is open for the children of a Wal-Mart Associate employed full-time for at least one year as of April 25, 2007.

Applicants to any the above scholarships should have taken SAT or ACT because this is the basic scholarship requirement. Winners of these scholarships will be announced on or before April 23, 2007. Non-winners will also be notified by May 1, 2007 through email.
