High school students with passion in cooking and food preparation who wanted to pursue a career in culinary arts are encouraged to join at The 2008 Art Institutes Best Teen Chef Competition. The prize at stake at this cooking competition is The Art Institutes full-tuition scholarship towards an associate degree, certificate or diploma program in culinary arts.
The winning scholar can choose to study at any of the 30 participating Art Institutes locations including The Art Institutes International Minnesota. There are over than $250,000 worth of tuition scholarships that will be given away this year. Aside from the full scholarship, the grand prize winner will also become an “Intern for a Day” at the Food Network Kitchens in New York City, a tour of the Food Network Studios, dinner for two at a Food Network chef’s restaurant and a library of Food Network Kitchens cookbooks.
To participate in this cooking competition, students can fill out an online entry formÂ on or before February 8, 2008. The Local Best Teen Chef Cook-off Competition will be held at The Art Institutes International Minnesota on April 12, 2008 while the National Best Teen Chef Final Round Competition will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at The Art Institute of Las Vegas.
