Scholarship Advice

If you are member or dependent of qualified American Legion member and have some talent in oratory or public speaking, you may want to join the American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest that awards $18,000 for the first place winner, $16,000 for the second place winner and $14,000 for the third place winner.

Aside from the above huge scholarship prizes, each State winner who become certified and participated in the first round of the National contest will all receive $1,500 scholarship money. Then first round winners who advanced to and participated in the second round but do not advance to the Final Round will receive extra $1,500 scholarship money that they can use to pay for their college tuition.
