Words to be Heard Scholarship Contest

The “Words to be Heard” Scholarship Contest from Edgar Snyder & Associates is open to all high school seniors studying in Pittsburgh, Central Pennsylvania and Erie. Students are asked to write a proposal for a program that would effectively teach pre-teens and teenagers the consequences of underage drinking.

The length of proposal / essay must be around 1,000 words and should be typewritten and double-spaced. The said proposal must be mailed to Edgar Snyder & Associates “Words to be Heard” Scholarship Contest US Steel Tower, 10th Floor 600 Grant Street Pittsburgh, PA 15219 on or before January 31, 2009 along with completed application form.

The prizes at stake for this scholarship contest are the following:
•    Three grand prize scholarships of $2,500. There will be one grand winner from each area (Pittsburgh, Central PA, and Erie).
•    Three second place scholarships of $1,000. There will be one grand winner from each area (Pittsburgh, Central PA, and Erie).
•    One runner-up in the Erie region will receive one $500 scholarship
